Made a house and got wood armor. Now what?

What am I supposed to be doing? I feel a bit lost.

Go to the caves, get better, metal armour, increase health via Heart Crystals, maybe get more Villargers ( Ask the guide for tips on them) and prepare for the Eye of Cthulhu

Pick your pickaxe and seek for ores, but don´t go to deep early game.

Try getting some new armor, get lots of Life Crystals (Preferably up to 200 HP or more), and mine underground, and when you reach the Gold/Platinum tier or so, try fighting the Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu to get Demonite/Crimtane Ores and Shadow Scales/Tissue Samples. Smelt the Demonite/Crimtane ore and then use those with the Shadow Scales/Tissue Samples to craft some new weapons and armor. You could also try fighting the Queen Bee if a Bee Hive spawned in your world after you get Demonite/Crimtane armor and weapons. The Bee Gun is really useful if you ask me.

Go mining, upgrade tools and armor, find weapons, find the dungeon, if you see lava, you probably shouldn't be there yet.
