Daybloom plants growing..
I need some Dayblooms and i have built an underground layer where i have put some clay pots and daybloom seeds... But it wont grow.. Any idea why? Does it need to be above the ground and in the direct sunlight?

I think a few torches to illuminate the area is enough for them to grow. Explore your world a bit and check on them once in a while

Are they in the actual underground? I have some faint memory of blinkroot, fireblooms and deathblooms being able to grow underground but not daybloom, shiverthorn and whatever the last plant is called

Shiverthorn can be found in ice caverns actually.

You have to be off-screen for plants to grow. So just plant daybloom seeds, leave and come back in a few in-game days. And remember to harvest daybloom during daytime, since that's when it drops seeds.

No. Thats not exactly "biome" i meant.. I meant just few black below my house, which is on surface... Yeah whole time i was close to my house, so that might be the issue.. Thanks anyway for quick answers.

I don't know how deep you made it, but maybe that's the problem. I have a small greenhouse area and all the plants grow fine. I'm using the plain ground and the dayblooms grow ubiquitously, you don't need to be off screen or leave the area they'll begin growing while you're there. If you'd like to see how I do it, send a friend request and I'll show you my greenhouse and tree farm. :)
