Can I roll something back I did in Terraria by using System Restore?
I decided to kill the Wall of Flesh a little bit too early, and now the corruption has spreaded to my house pretty quickly. I tried to contain the corruption, but I wasn't anywhere near ready for hardmode as I got 1 - 2 shotted by enemies. So, me being retarded, decides to use TEdit, which is basically a world edit tool. I make 2 big holes in my world using TEdit, and now I regret doing everything because it messed up my world even more. So at this point I knew I really messed up. I created a backup of my world but the backup doesn't work as the two holes are still there. and my world is stil messed up. I needed something to do to roll back my world, but I couldn't think of anything other than System Restore. So I tried to roll back my computer to the day before I fought the Wall of Flesh, but of course that doesn't work. My world is still the same. Any help on what I can do to get my world back to its original state? And also, please don't reply with " It's your fault for using TEdit " or " Why did you use TEdit? ". I know I messed up with using TEdit, but look past that, and help me out here.

TEdit makes backups of your world files automatically. If you look in your World folder, there should be a file there with the file type "TEdit World Backup". Remove the ".TEdit" file extension (you might have to turn file extensions on if your computer hides them), and you should be able to load it like a regular world file.

In the future, consider making regular backups of your save files, especially when you're about to mess with them in TEdit. That way something like this won't happen again.

Thats a problem because, I used the backup I created instead of the backup TEdit created, so I no longer have the TEdit backup. Is there anything else I can do? Can I use System Restore to get the TEdit file, or will it not work because Sytem Restore doesn't affect the documents folder.

Unless you deliberately deleted the TEdit backup yourself, it should still be there. It exists separately from the regular world file and the vanilla game's backup file and won't be overwritten if you overwrite either of them.

System Restore affects only your system files. Documents are left untouched. If you have your computer set up to make automatic backups, though, you might try loading one of those.

Yes, I myself deleted the TEdit backup file because I thought the one I made myself would've worked. I was wrong though. I'm assuming theres nothing I can do about this. Next time I got to be more carefu.
XD

You're even thinking of System Restore to revert your Terraria world?

XD

I think there are no solution.

Uh.. why did you use cheat? If this is your first time playing terraria, you shouldn't be cheating. Just saying.

You did this yourself, you take the risk yourself

what's the size of said holes? if they're not too big, then fill them with a non-infectable block, otherwise, if the file itself is corrupted or if the hole you made is to big, then I dont know how to help you. You might have to start over...? Either that, or tolerate your new holes in your world.
