How to deal with moon lord's "moon bite" debuff?

I'm running a mage build with spectre hood but I'm unable to use my armor effectively with the moon bite debuff; I can't rely on health potions, they don't heal enough to offset the damage moon lord deals. What would be some good ways to work around the moon bite debuff without changing classes to ranger or melee?

You can't dodge the Moon Bite debuff but you CAN tp away using teleporting (Rod Of Discord).
the Moon Bite debuff just takes away your health to heal the Moon Lord.

Stop taking the serious damage penalty for no benefit and start dealing more damage by switching to the spectre mask. You'll have to get good at avoiding his heavier attacks while you take him down.

I use a Razorblade Typhoon on a UFO mount in Spectre armor. I had both hoods and swapped them out when the debuff came into play. Mana cuffs are necessary for this though.

I'd recomend the Philosopher's Stone or the Charm of Myths for the potion cooldown reduction.

i have beaten moon lord about eight times and i used a arena with block cover and almost made my nurse die
