Dark Caster Glitch?

Can some one tell me WHY a Dark Caster does 100+ damage to me when i have full beetle armor and 71 def??? (Expert Mode) The wiki say they should do 40 damage when no armor equiped..

if you are in hardmode i think they do more dmg, or either you are getting debuffs or really rare bug, anyways, take screenshot of it and send it to bug report thing

a paladin does equal damage to a dark caster...

Expert mode strengthens weaker enemies when you enter hardmode, so pretty much everything is a threat. It's why green slimes can hit you for 50 damage, even with endgame armor. Dark casters also get this buff.

i know that but they should not do asmuch damage as a paladin when i have 71 and a worm scarf
