What classes do you not use in terraria?
Summoner and mage, I highly dislike these two since they don't actually interest me, and summoner doesn't have a large amount of weapons.

I might use mage soon though.

Since I usually play solo and am always prioritized by monsters, I'd say Ranged. Summoner was my first class, and was really useful for general caving and farming (terrible for bosses, though), while Melee and Mage are good damage dealers that can get into the thick of things without dying too often.
always hated summoner

I find magic to be mostly inferior to other types. Even if you can get the most theoretical DPS out of magic weapons, the setup required to do so is ridiculous and magic is horrible early game due to not having access to good mana accessories. Even summoning is good supplumental damage if you're ranged/melee but magic doesn't really have a place in a hybrid setup, it seems very all-or-nothing.

True dat I usually don't bother with magic until I actually beat the game and have good mage gear... but at that poin magic kicks so much ass that it's not even funny anymore :) Well aside from the Moon Lord ( can't beat him solo unless I play ranged D: )

Summoner seems pretty bad because of how unsupported it is pre-hardmode... if you're planning on starting over, you pretty much have to grind out one ridiculously rare weapon, that's pretty much it before you kill Queen Bee, then you're done until you start hardmode. By the time you can actually gear it up and play summoner "properly" you'll probably have already settled into another playstyle that works much better.

Mage also seems kind of sucky early on because your mana pool is tiny and there's not much in the way of good, mana-efficient spells available at the start - and again, by the time you can actually make it work, you'll have found a far more effective build doing something else.
Ranged and melee.

Ranged seems to have the absolutely most rocky and hard path to go, and is not that good at all, p' much useless without chlorophyte bullets.

Melee might have a lot of defence and all, but what good will that do when you need to be in the monster's face?

Melee is best early-game. Ranged is best mid-game. Melee/summoner hybrid is best late-game.

Magic is only useful when fighting The Destroyer.
