use fishing potions to max bait power. also helps to look in the wiki about what fishing poles and bait give you more power. also try crate potions too if you wanna test your loterry skills.
btw all i keep catching are bass lots and lotsa bass

I'm not sure that would help too much as it's still too easy to catch with a mid-level setup. It feels like they should have been used for something but it was forgoten and never added.

It's literally a real fish that exists that is incredibly obscure, doesn't sell for anything, can't be made into a Trophy, and can't be used to craft anything. Why is it here? Nobody knows, Particle Man...

true true, they have still to make a hallowed boss, maybe it'll be something mythical like a dragon or some ♥♥♥♥. the fish could be used in the crafting recipie
