How to get a ton of money?

I'm looking for ways to get tons of money, but completely legitimately. No glitches to duplicate things or anything but just great wasy to make money by farming, combining items or something like that.

ale, get wood craft a carpentry station, craft a brewery, then dig up alot of sand, craft glass, craft mugs, and craft ale with the mugs. sell about 30 a stack for about 2 silver. but sand is plentiful.
if not water candles, potion and other various items to attract mobs, and farm the mobs like crazy or wait till an event like the blood moon occurs.

Dungeon. Stand in same place for ten seconds. Get ready. Get set. Go.

Raid spider nests and make silk from cobwebs.

Hook up a jellyfish statue in a 2x3 block cell with a bucket of lava in it to a switch right outside and sell the glowsticks.

Depending on how far into the game you are, you could just farm the twins and eater of worlds. Then sell all the demonite bars for the gold. You'll have tons of money depending on how much you do it.

dont you mean eye of chithulu and eater of worlds, or the destroyer and the twins?
but i see your point. they do give you alot of valuable items to sell.

wait i just remember the easiest way.
find a silt machine converter
get alot of silt and slush
convert them, you might even find a mosquito amber
sell the bars/ores you get from it and youll get money too.
a literal money farm

The Queen Bee drops 10 gold plus ~2 gold in items. The boss can be summoned by using an Abeemination (5 honey blocks, 5 hive blocks, 1 stinger and 1 bottle of honey) anywhere in the Jungle. With endgame weapons/armor, it is possible to beat her within a minute of summoning her.

You could also use events like Pirate Invasions/Frost Moons/Pumpkin Moons and rack up ~50 gold per event if you can live long enough.

Gold bullets (Ranged)/Flask of Gold (Melee) make enemies drop more money when killed


These are the methods I use to make money. I'm also using the invasions to farm key molds

There's really all kinds of ways to make money. You can set up a statue farm, or grow glowing mushrooms, or make ale while using a sand gun for infinate sand. Fishing brings in quite a bit of money, indirectly, as does farming the bosses and delving into the dungeon.

i recently found that, while farming for a megaphone, that you can sell pixie dust, a full stack 99, for 1 gold coin. Also, unicorn horns about 50 go for about 10 gold coins.

Either the Pumpkin Moon or the Frost Moon, no question. Enough enemies spawn that I've walked away with 1 or 2 platinum from the things before.

For the thing I think i came up with you can get any amount of coins in a couple of seconds.
First thing you need the materials Chest statue, Bird or Crab (Bird is 5% Faster), Wire, 2 switches or or levers, 4 yellow pressure plates, Slime Staff (Weakest staff and pierces enemies), and lucky coin. Setup bird statue in the middle but have 2 by 2 blocks next to it. Next wire it up to a switch or lever have a chest statue in a enclosed area so it does spawn a mimic but it cant go anywhere. Next wire up the yellow pressure plates to the mimic statue and it doesn't matter where you do it (Do it on the overworld). Next equip the Lucky Coin and turn on the bird engine use the slime staff in the area where the mimics are and wait a couple of seconds or so and dont say its useless if you get 29 silver you have to get lucky (not a refernce btw).I got to 90 Gold with it just waiting 1 minute.

The way I did it was kinda weird. I was (and am) pre-HardMode at the time, I went to HardMode servers and farmed the beaches for Treasure Maps. Once I got about 5 or 6, I'd go back to my world and summon a Pirate Invasion. On average I made about 52 gold, not including selling the loot.

The biggest reward was getting a 'Discount Card' dropped by the parrots. It greatly reduces the prices of almost everyting you buy, saving you money in the long run. I'm now at 202 platinum coins and some change. :3

I find that if you go to the corruption and make a farm for rotton chunks and vile mushrooms, you can farm the EoW and get 6 or more gold coins

So far, I find the Pumpkin Moon the easiest legitimate way to earn a ton of money as you could earn about 9-10 platinum coins per moon (including selling drops) if you have an effective set up.
