Nimbus Rod

I need a Nimbus Rod for a to defeat the Destory so if anyone could show me a farm/grinder that would be great! And yes my world is mostly hallow and crisom. Note: I'm NOT using a server if you could just take a screen-shot or something.......

nimbuses usually appear during a rainy day. use water candles and potions or armor/weps/items that make enemies target you. with all this setup you should be solid.
also to defeat the destroyer, it is easier if you just make about 7 platforms, each high enough to be seperated pretty far from each other, but close enough you can jump them. simply attack him from above and kill the bots he launches for health/mana.
he is actually the easiest hardmode boss that gives you hallowed bars which can make greater armor and weapons that beneit you the most in hardmode if you barely started it.

just get a minion, like a fire imp to help you out with the probes. trust me, when i first entered hardmode, i farmed the destroyer like crazy and made enough armor and weapons to last me till i got to plantera. also helps if you put heart lamps and campfires as well as regeneration potions.
also try crafting the golden shower. it helps lower defenses and your attacks do more damage. other weps or spells such as the demon scythe help to keep the damage going. fire debuffs too.
edit: you can craft the golden shower since you have a crimson world.

So turn down 30 damage per droplet from nimbus rod? Not doing that

okay fine i get it your obsessed with this rod thing, even though there are more recommended item, read my first post.
water candles, potions that attract enemies or armor/items
wait for a rainy day to occur
proceed to kill nimbuses until you get the rod.
there is no other way to get it other than the cloud mobs, so just keep doing it, perferably in the corrupt/crimson areas where they spawn more frequently for some reason.

Actually, the Destroyer is immune to all debuffs, including Ichor, so the Golden Shower won't do as much when compared to the Nimbus Rod.

Blood moon on a rainy day, water candles in your area help (water candle + battle potions on any rainy day since you really want it). I've got three now, one dropped as demonic :3

I don't need the Nimbus Rod any more (Defeated the Twins and got Optic Staff :D) But thanks for the suggestions!
