How can i defeat the twins ?

I just star to play in hardmode and i have fight with the twins twice and loses those 2 battles
so what gear should i use and weapons are the best to use to defeat the twins ?

if you just started to play hardmode get some time to make a good armor and a better weapon before fighting the twins...

well im actually have a colbat armor and some other spell books , and thw sword that i have deal 55% damage

I've died the two times I tried killing them, but, I'm sure I could beat them if I stopped ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about. The first time, I got the toughest one (I think it is, it's the flame one) to about 2k life, then just about died to that long flame breath thing. -.- The second time, I was nailing them but stupidly forgot a gear piece and died to falling. -.- Anyway, ... as always, set up the arena! For me, I set up 3 long, tall wooden platforms. I also use 2 health statues, wired up to 3 or 5 1-3 second timers, which is a huge help. Use ranged; I use the flamethrower, now, but I was not long using the megashark. Focus on one at a time. If I were you, I'd focus on the one that DOESN'T use that fire breath, first, because you don't want both of them at once to deal with. Also, just in-case, take some potions. Also, I'd make sure you have at least adamantite armor, or hallowed without statues. (some could probably pull that off with less, but I would sooner not make things unnecessarily harder) GL! Oh, I second what concorde said. Yeah, I'm thinking Spaz is the sod who uses that flame breath (blue flame) on his second form; it's really annoying. The one I avoided it, was to hook onto a verticle stack of bricks I had next to my arena, which worked REALLY well... 'till I fell back down and died. ¬_¬

If you haven't made a sky bridge yet, I would recommend it for this fight. Try to get the Frostspark Boots or Lightning Boots accessory, since you'll practically be running the entire time. For a weapon, the Megashark, equipped with Crystal Bullets for ammo, works well against The Twins. So first, you'll need to fight The Destroyer in order to create the Megashark. For armor, consider building the Frost armor set; its bonus will allow melee and ranged attacks to inflict Frostburn, dealing 6 damage per second and negating health regeneration. You'll have to find Ice Golems, which spawn in Snow biomes during a blizzard. It also requires Hallowed bars, but you'll get those from fighting The Destroyer. Farm it and the Ice Golems enough to create the armor set and the gun, while also getting the boots and having a nice, long stretch of land to run on without having to jump over anything, and you should be ready to fight The Twins. For potions, use Regeneration, Ironskin, Swiftness, and grab a food item that will give you the Well Fed buff. Just run from The Twins while firing back at them, and you should chip away at their health pretty easily. Try not to stop running, otherwise they'll catch up with you. I would suggest taking out Spazmatism first, the green one, as its flame breath is pretty nasty. Focus it down first, then take out Retinazer, the red one.

The best strate for me in early hardmod, was the Phoenix Blaster, it is really good with Explosive bullets. But the Laser Rifle is also very good if you want to be all mage-like. Then the last recomendation i have is to get Grenades and Wings. Wings are key to early hardmode.

I... would not personally recommend using the Pheonix Blaster for the twins; might be OK against some of the regular enemies, but a boss? That would be a long battle. lol :P Did you actually manage that, TDT? Must've taken forever, if so. xD (and if you did, nice one)

All I did was get some Melee Hallowed Armor and a Megashark w/ Crystal Bullets (inb4 "You can't do that, Melee bonuses don't applied to Ranged weapons!"), ran backwards, and shot a lot of bullets at them.

You should be able to get Crystal Shards and Musket Balls pretty easily, so I don't see how ammo will be a problem.

Beating the Destroyer or Skeletron Prime? Yeah, that could be an issue.

Well, it's not all about offense. ;)

Make an area where it is easier to fight them.
Use a Minishark or if you can defeat The Destroyer a Magashark.
Kill one at a time and do not let them both turn into thier second form at once.

Here's what I would do.

If you have meteorite, skip this paragraph. Break some shadow orbs, and hope that a meteor lands. Mine up the meteorite, and get ten of a single type of gemstone. The color does not matter, so pick what you like.

Craft twenty meteorite bars, and use those and the gems to make a phaseblade.

Once you have a phaseblade, go into the underground Hallow biome, and mine fifty crystal shards. Mine even more if you want to make special ammo. Use these and your phaseblade to make a phasesaber, a much more powerful version of the phaseblade.

Now, use your new weapon to fight the Destroyer. I recommend at least Mythril Armor for this fight. After you destroy the Destroyer, you will obtain Souls of Might.

Combine the souls of might with five shark fins, illegal gun parts, and a Minishark to create a Megashark. This weapon can be used on the next two bosses for an easier kill.

Now, for your ammunition. If you mined more crystal shards earlier, make crystal bullets. These will increase your damage output. Remember that the special ammo isn't necessary, and all you will really need is musket balls.

You can use warrior armor for more defense, or ranged armor for more damage. Use whatever makes you comfortable.

For potions, try to get Greater Healing Potions. Try to also get some Ironskin and Regeneration potions, as they can help a ton with survival.

Accessories don't matter too much, but I would recommend a pair of wings and anything you can find that will increase your ranged damage output, or defense.

When you feel that you are ready, summon the twins and give it your best shot. Best of luck.

Try to get the best armor you can, make a sky bridge, and use a clockwork assault rifle with crystal bullets. Hope this helps.
