Honey waterfall for buffs from arena sides?
Has anyone developed a design for a functioning honeyfall which can be placed at the side of an arena for application of the honey regen buff to the player during boss fights (for mid-air use rather than ground use like the normal honey pools)? I plan to develop a plantera arena soon and am wondering if this could be done to top-up on the buff between visits to a central honey pool in the middle of an arena.

Unfortunately (and fortunately in certain cases), Honey, Water, and Lava falls do not touch you, they simply act as decoration and to be realistic. I about hypnotized myself into believing that lava falls would hurt you the first I saw them.

against plantera, a good strategy is fighting him in a narrow vertical tunnel and attack him with crystal bullets while keeping your distance. Most of plantera's shots won't hit you. Use hooks or climbing gear when you need to stop moving.

A half block waterfall would not work, but if .you build an inlet/outlet pump system, then it would work.

Just keep in mind that the honey will slow you down, which is quite a risk with Plantera.

Thank you for the advice Rellik. I was not refering to a half block honeyfall, but instead a pumping system. However I have heard that liquids duplicate during fall and as such, am concerned that the honey will slowly accumulate when the pumps are active. Will this happen? It is the only concern I have with the arena concept.

Welp, I tried it out, and it works pretty well, duplication seems to happen only when you turn the rig off, so just have a substantial enough reservoir.

Oh, I should mention an easy way to get hearts, build a kamikaze slime statue rig, this screenshot should give you an idea of how to do it, in short, wire up slime statues to a one second timer, where the slimes jump into a lava pit, easy hearts, especially with a heartreach potion.
