I don't really care about the controversy of Palworld of being a Pokemon clone myself (I wish there were more of them tbh), but I can empathise with why it might give some people the ick.
Look at other cross-overs like Don't Starve, Stardew Valley, Dungeon Defenders - whether you like those games or not, they are indie, and contribute to gaming culture.
I suppose Palworld does it too, but not through any passionate artistry. It's a soulless, Frankenstein amalgamation by a studio pretending to be indie.
I think that's why some find it a little gross. They could have picked a cross-over with a lesser known game like Monster Sanctuary - another pokemon clone that has a lot of love in it, in my opinion.
You can't convince me there's any love in the making of Palworld.
Makes sense. Sorry for my ignorance.
Very weird cross over for sure, surprised to see that just now from terraria.
One in a while is fine but I would rather see Terraria still being its own thing.
Minecraft already suffers from being basically "that game where you put every games in it."
