I am testing it right now just made two small houses gonna see if it does it again..
cause all the hard work i put into making large houses seem to not stick as valid and i have no idea why. And i don't use any materials that were created with crimson or corruption
When you build the house, are you placing all of the blocks and walls yourself, or are you trying to use pieces of the environment? If you try to incorporate blocks/walls that are part of the environment that you did not place yourself, I think there is a possibility the game will not recognize them as a house. I think that happens with walls anyway.
And this house was bigger than 50 or 60 i believe it might of been 70 - 100.
Then i made another smaller house that was 52 i believe it was fine
And W+M1 yeah i thought it might of been but when i checked it out
it was just 204 tiles so it did not exceed the 250 which what baffled me..
I assumed maybe its cause i added a few tubs and toilets..?
Thank you guys for giving me advice the 250 tile limit i had no idea about
And now i do know its my 4th day playing the game and already been banned from a server cause i was supposedly hacking and spawning items. Guessing there is a huge issue with players spawning and using scripts?
It would seem i can't make 2-4 story housing (medium - large)
Which i find sort of dumb.. it tells me the housing is valid and the npcs do have a way into that housing.. i am just baffled as to why it reverts back too not valid housing is it a glitch?
Or a bug that has been around for a long while?
Cause i even use the rulers on the game and i double check to make sure the blocks and all are in correct number and all..
Its frustrating me now..lol
I resorted to just making very really small houses for them with just a candle a table and chair and two doors...
Seems as if they made housing a bit more.. uhh difficult? Complex?
I made a two - three story house with stairs and all that is needed i got the valid housing message
then a couple mins later again got the.. invalid just after i put a fire place and chinmey
Is there a bug or a glitch that has been around for a long time? Or have they made housing a bit more difficult? Complex..?
Its frustrating me atm cause i have seen other people on MP they have created bigger castle like housing and they got all the npcs and the housing is valid even when they got the blocks far apart from another.. or is that cause of a mod they use?
Sorry to be a bother its just baffling too me how some are able to make extremely large housing like mansions and such and yet the housing i make are nothing compared to those.. its like 4-5 small room apt unit style housing |==| <-- just enough for a lamp table and chair..
I had to just make a new world made the smallest housing i could for the npcs they are still there so.. not sure what to think lol
Some other things that come to mind:
1) You say there is no corruption/crimson nearby, but was there ever at any point? Sometimes you can end up with like one pixel of crimson grass, or there is still some corruption/crimson wall somewhere behind the environment, so the game still thinks there is a corruption/crimson zone. If you've smashed a demon altar at any point, there might be a random pixel of corruption/crimson nearby created by the altar. If you have the decontaminator thing, you could just try spraying it all over the damn place around your houses just to be sure. Make sure there is no corruption/crimson coming up toward your houses from underground. All housing must be at least 45 blocks away from all corruption/crimson on all sides.
2) Are you farming anything? Especially are you farming any corruption/crimson type plants or monsters?
3) What are you using as your light source? Not every item that emits light counts as a light source (e.g. blue candle).
4) Try placing a couple of sunflowers around the house this keeps happening with. Sunflowers reduce the corruption/crimson rating of the area around it and if the game thinks there is a little bit of corruption nearby, a couple of sunflowers might block the effect.
Sorry if you've already thought of all these. Just spitballing things!
Screen shots no.. sadly i deleted the old worlds
Right now i am not having issues with really small housings..
They are staying there and no issues with the validation.
Replying to #2 I usually clear out the land and put stone or dirt blocks back or add any stone or dirt blocks if i run into crimson or corruption blocks.
replying to #1 I have yet to run into a demon altar i've even go as far as too clear out a extremely large area that i don't plan on using off the back.
I never thought of sunflowers i should get some seeds incase.
and no no you are helping thank you i just want to build like a hotel style medieval kind
but each time i get a two story or more it just.. doesn't stick on being a valid housing
Could it be that larger two or more story buildings are no longer valid housing...?
I usually just head into free item servers do the /i for bombs and use em on tiles makes things a lot more easier to clear out blocks
i have played Starbound i loved that game cause it let you run wild on letting you create whatever you could think of just like mine craft this game though it seems a bit limited though and i looked at the wiki there aren't any actual stairs?
It would be nice if the cooking pot were usable lol.. ah well still a great game
just the MP function still trying too figure out why people seem so angry at times
