Best pre-hardmode melee weapon obtained from the dungeon?

Im doing a melee playthrough and i need to know which weapon i should work towards in the dungeon. Actually throwables work too so if you have any for me please post it.

Edit: Excluding the Murumasa because I already got it.

terra blade needs two broken hero swords in total. so if you say they drop after plantera, how can you get the terra blade before plantera? there is no other enemy dropping broken hero swords anymore.

none of them are particularly impressive.

It needs 3: 1 for true nights edge, 1 for true excalibur, and 1 more just for no reason i guess. Probably to make it harder to get but idk for sure.

no, they changed that in 1.3.

Nothing contradictory here, just you misunderstanding. Kyurume's saying that before you defeat Plantera, Mothron ONLY has broken hero swords in its drop table. After defeating Plantera, it will start dropping wings and the Eye of Cthulhu yo-yo.

as I said before, use beenades. a couple of them can kill the WoF in less than a minute even if you dont use fossil armor or a hive pack.
