"Join via steam" does button does nothing.

I just recently bought Terraria to play with a few friends, I clicked the Multiplayer option, then Join via Steam, and then clicked it. It made a sound, but did nothing. The screen didn't change, just made the button sound. I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, I've exited and launched again, nothing. I am currently on the most recent iMac.

You need to have your steam overlay on else it will not work. In Steam, go to settings --> In-game --> enable steam overlay while in-game. In Terraria, make sure that the host sets it to Invite only. Load up the world, go to settings and use Invite Friends.

My Join via steam does nothing when i click it, i even have steam overlay on and everything have any suggestions?
