The new anti woke thing is beyond insane

I am a terrarian who played this game since i was basically young, i can say that the final boss used to be Ocram (Ps3), and seeing my game hated for reasons that doesnt affect gameplay is beyond isane

ive scrolled through a few post and i see these anti woke people not really proving a point over anything, in fact, they rely on insults as if their point is going to be valid. at this point those Anti-woke people are just showing me that they have a bigger ego than all of those "woke" people. all cause of one guy with 55k subs relied on a news channel that isnt relevant

Im going to explain this in simple terms so these Anti woke (Aka Huge snowflakes), they arent removing genders, they only removed the symbols, if you cant tell which one is which, thats on you. Genders still exists, with the "gender swap" potion "which was added way before"

removing gender symbols isnt part of "politics", you anti woke people made it political.

a lot of those anti woke people like to say "we sane people dont want this", i am considered a sane person, i go to work for 40 hours a week (Not anymore but i am entering construction school). So the real question is, who are they referring? Its clearly not themselves because theyve reached a new level of Insanity just by being mad at a thing that isnt out yet

So to the woke people here, i am giving you guys a challenge, and its to answer this simple question

How will removing the gender symbol affect your gameplay? i will answer the question myself because i am not on any "blue pill/red pill" side, because both sides have their rights and wrongs. It simply doesnt.

It's being removed because the current far-left political views on gender are that there is no connection between physical body type and gender. Gender still "exists," but having a man's body can't be assumed to be male, according to them. Gender is also not binary, again, according to them. So that's why the devs are removing those symbols.

It doesnt make sense because Redigit himself said "were giving players more control over their characters". Those symbols did nothing at all, i know this because ive played the game and barely use them. Calling it a body type (to me) makes more sense because you can still give your girl character a "Kratos" type beard

so if i undestand correctly. youre more worried about something that didnt even happened yet over the overall gameplay being bad is what youre telling me, if its not about the gameplay, then what is it for? it clearly aint about not being mocked by people who claim to be this or that.

although youre right, politics dont belong in a game, i can definitely agree with you, but this time? the game didnt push anything political about anything, they simply removed a feature that you can simply tell by your eyes: which one is female? which one is male? wasnt that the whole idea on this anti woke thing?

and my question is: whats the useless feature, because judging from the screenshot, all they did was remove the gender symbols and replaced it with the voice changer, which i think its a good move because... its a 2d game, shouldnt really matter

It absolutely isn't political. It's just UI cleanup, getting rid of buttons that don't serve a purpose now with the rest of the way the interface functions. But they filter everything through that warped world view. I imagine Re-Logic are completely blindsided by the backlash they're receiving over a user interface change that you'll look at for ten seconds out of dozens of hours of gameplay.

Yup. Most of the dialogue in the game is gender neutral too, pronouns are rarely (if ever) used to refer to the player, and gender doesn't affect gameplay -- there are no gender-specific items, and character stats are the same across the board. Once you're wearing armor, the only way you know your "gender" is by the sound you make when you take damage. It's silly that people are getting this upset over it.

You guys keep using that word, but it doesn't mean what you think it means. I've already addressed it in another thread, but it's a very specific form of emotional abuse in an intimate relationship where the abuser causes the victim to question their own judgement and sense of self, in order to control the victim and prevent them from leaving the relationship.

You're being disagreed with because your reaction to this is silly and disproportional. That isn't abuse. Not only is the context wrong (this is not an intimate relationship), but you're not a victim of anything either.

Im going to break it to you, theres nothing "factual" about terraria. The queen bee isnt the size of the house and a giant eyeball from cthulhu isnt coming to get you at night. Not super relevant i know

and yeah youre right, theyll always be male or female. But the whole goal was to remake the UI. The gender symbols were completely useless, a lot of people (anti wokers specifically) dodges that fact, nor it even changes gameplay wise, if you know your guy is a man, then hes a man, simple as that, other than that, you spend like 10 seconds in that UI screen until you make another character

and you are right about calling people names is immature, but since when has that ever stopped the anti wokers (im saying anti wokers from now on cause im tired of writing "people" every time)

again though, i heard they didnt try to make a big thing out of it, until anti wokers came and basically made it a big thing by review bombing them which only lasted for like... 2-3 days?

Hate to break it to you it's on both sides, and one side we hear more about because of how loud they are about it. Plus, adding a free DLC would solve this problem. Storm-works done this with guns, and so why can't they do that.
