Is this game crossplay?

I have a friend who bought it from the Google Play Store, and in my case i bought it here on Steam, i want to invite him to play with me but i don't know if it is crossplay on that sense (Me being able to play on his same world from with Terraria from Steam, while he plays on Terraria from Google Play Store).

Note: I am new into this game and almost never played it before, so i don't know much about it.

Crossplay is not possible, yet. The devs plan on adding it at some point after 1.4.5.

Crossplay isn't out yet, but the devs said that is should be coming at some point after the next update
