2) Pick a center and clear all blocks around the 84 x 47, make sure that your box is fully inside the cavern layer (100 x 50 for me)
3) 47 blocks tall and 47 blocks deep from the center block (I usually do 50)
4) 84 blocks wide (left & right) from the center block (I usually do 100)
5) Place walls at the bottom or a layer of lava so the mobs spawn only at the top half of the platform (I just place a layer of lava)
6) Remember to place around 80 jungle blocks near the center (Since jg biome increase spawn rate)
If Iluminant Bats and Slimes are spawning then you made an Underground Hallow biome, I'm pretty sure it's just Chaos Elementals have very specific spawning requirements like they have to spawn on Pearlstone blocks an won't spawn if the player hasn't moved for some time.
If you want chaos elementals, replace the blocks on the left and right side with Pearlstone, Pink Ice Blocks, or Pearlsand (if you want to deal with physics LOL)
Make sure that there are no background walls on where you are "afking", or any NPC housings (unless using black candle), and you have to keep "moving".
