But if you'd prefer to try out tModLoader instead of Terraria, look for Fargo's Mutant Mod. It adds the InstaHouse, which does exactly that. A very minimalistic house with every requirement for an NPC to move in. Plus, it matches the biome it's placed in. It requires 50 wood and 1 torch to craft that item.
