Help finding Shimmer?

Ok, I know it's somewhere between jungle and Ocean.... but I'm on a Large world, and the jungle spawned only 1500 west of start... meaning there is a MASSIVE amount of terrain between jungle and Ocean (which is at around 8000 west). Is there any way at all to narrow down my search, because I'm looking at needing to search nearly half the map right now.

It should be like around 500 blocks away from the ocean no?

start your search at the point just before the ocean biome begins. In my experience it's usually close to an area underground with the glowing moss. (moss color doesn't matter as long as it glows.) This will at least get you close. There isn't much advise i can give to narrow the search further.

How to find: get drill containment unit and go down at/near world edge

Most of the time its below the ocean, however I've had some unfortunate times where it gets made closer to the jungle, a bit away from the ocean, no clue how that works

its always near the world edges, just pick a screen or two away from the ocean's edge and dig down, if you get halfway through the world then its not there. Its got a lot of horizontal surface area so if you don't see a glimpse of it at all then its probably on the other side.
