What do you do for a Food Farm?

Myself I have a Farm Set up in a Marble area that's been converted to a Hollow Biome, it gets me apple pies From the Illuminant enemies and Pizza from Medusa's and Hoplites.

Just wondering if there are any better food farms out there.

Underground Hallow Ice is nice too you get bacon , apple pie and milkshakes.

And Blade Staff, Frozen Turtle shell and possibly Rod of Discord as bonus.

and also farm the dungeon for easy $$$$$ and either milk or bbq ribs.

They already got tons of water candles and enemies spawn more in dungeon blocks so all you gotta do is get some summoner minions and let them do the rest. Also helps to fish in the dungeon for dungeon crates and alchemy tables.


The only other place that would be easy to farm is the jungle near the or inside the temple for inc. enemy spawns.

I never understood fishing purely for buff food, I mean obviously if you have a bunch because you are fishing for different reasons cook em, but the dinner has the lowest buff duration at 4 mins.

Milk and ribs makes sense though, might try the dungeon out.

Ribs and Pizza make sense tho Milk does not however.
Milk gives the weakest buff and is pretty difficult to obtain compared to other alternatives of same and better tier.

For prehardmode go for things like Pizza and Spaghetti.
And for hardmode: Bacon , Apple Pie , Milkshake and the earlier mentioned BBQ Ribs.

Milk should be only farmed if you want it as decoration or for completionist purposes.

you have tons of fish that aren't useful for potions like love potions or teleport potions etc. So having them cooked means you'll have a medium stats for 4 mins but multiply that by x 20 or 30 a stack of fish and you can be buffed for a whole while searching an area.

They're readily available anywhere too so long as you got a fishing rod some bait and water source big enough to at least catch bass.



but yeah dungeon is the easiest already made farm. Just add some tunnels to go through the rooms fast enough and let your summons take care of the rest while you can fish for dungeon stuff.

The medium stats fish dishes have 8-10 minute duration

just stack a chest with food from the travelling merchant or get a lot of pumpkins and make pumpkin pies

Buy Pigronatas from the Party Girl and break them for easy bacon. It even pays for itself with the money and other items that drop from the Pigronatas.

Tons of different kinds of fish make the same kind of seafood dish, and pumpkins are easy enough to farm and harvest back at the safety of home. Some of these dishes may be shorter duration but when you can get them so easily, it balances out .

I made an underground jungle overlapped with ice biome. Since jungle eneny cant spawn without the grass block and the jungle generally boost spawn rate so you only see ice enemies and it made a good milk shake farm along with money from selling the weapon drops. Add water candle, gnome, jungle and ice torch will help speed it up.

turn your clock to late October and you should be able to get pumpkins to spawn for you and farm goodie bags from enemies.

What for?
You can buy pumpkin seeds from Dryad lol and seed your own pumpkins regardless of season. They are always available.

And for goodie bags just reach wave 15 of Pumpkin Moon and you get Halloween season for entire ingame day.
