Alright, then I'd suggest Eiyuden Chronicle Rising for more of a rpg experience. And Salt and Sanctuary for more of a dark souls feel. And Salt and Sacrifice for a more power fantasy as in Diablo.
There's whips on Terraria, they are for the summoner class.
