Even though it makes no sense to call Terraria a Minecraft clone other than for the fact that you mine and build things, but Minecraft was basically a rip-off of Infiniminer, so don't treat Minecraft like the original. Also, Notch even admitted he liked Terraria

Plus when Notch admitted to liking Terrraia he said he was glad to have Terraria as competition because the game was so amazing :)

I once made a thread asking why they can't just cheat in the items or get that one map with all the items, and they were all very butthurt and told me it was because it ruins the game (because getting items from an actual person somehow makes it all the better)

yeah, i wish mojang would stop relying on mods and put all the neat things into the base game.

What they really need to do is add a minimap like Terraria. After playing Terraria for a while then coming back to Minecraft, I just couldn't play survival mode and actually explore without getting a minimap mod to set a waypoint for my house and not get lost

I just leave a spread out trail of redstone dots or occassional pillars to follow back when I'm exploring

Building is so much better for minecraft though, it's so much more satisfying to have a castle or a mountaintop mansion that I can actually run around in and decorate. And I think it's better for multiplayer. 10 of my school friends and I got together and bought a realm, and we spent a lot of our free time during the year building cities and outposts together.

I get bored with fighting stuff. I like building things. Though both games have their merit for that. I like that Terraria has so much more stuff like paintings and pretty furniture and stuff. So even though I can't have a 3-D structure, I can make more complicated things, and with less effort. (Not being able to fly in minecraft makes building tall things dangerous sometimes... and roofing is a pain :P )

Haha, yeah. And it gets bad if I'm ever working with my villager farms, because the zombies are attracted to them. And they make it a pain when I try to transport my newly born villagers by railway.

I hate creepers.... they are the bain of my existence. But building islands with lavascaping and keeping everything on the ocean helps keep them away
