Are there any chests in lava?
So I'm looking for Lava Charm and never get it from Hellstones Crate. So I was search up on wiki since frustrated to get it and see that u can craft it at Shimmer or get it from chest in lava at cavern or abandoned cart track. Well I tried to search on lava for chest using potions since I read that Shimmer is available after defeating moon lord. But no found any chest yet.

So I doubt that it actually spawn chest in lava or I just bad in english and get misunderstood. Is it really that rare? Even I open the crate near gnomes statue since I heard that it increase luck? Also are there any items that make fishing in lava faster?

I have fishing set armor from NPC, but for accessories I only have 2 (forgot the name, so I will only explain with game icon) the one with red shell and the tackle that glowing in the dark giving fish power. My fishing rod is bought from NPC Mechanic and drink 3 potions (fish power, crate chance, and sonar)

Also if this is maybe important, I play in small world for faster games and difficulty is master and no special seeds. I always play in random seeds (fill the world seeds blank).

Isn't in lava, it's close to lava.
It's that Ash area right above the hell, but below caverns, that middle part that the background becomes cracked with lava flowing in it. You look around there for Golden Chests (not inside lava).

aaahhh... Ok I'll try to search, but is it guaranteed that there are chest in those area and lava charm inside the chest??

First off, need to correct some bad information you have. The shimmer most definitely exists before the Moonlord. The Aether, where a pool of shimmer appears naturally is created on world generation and is available from the very start. The only thing about the shimmer that is post moonlord is the Bottomless Shimmer Bucket, which you can use to create your own shimmer pool.

The Aether appears underground towards the end of the map, on the same side as your jungle. Here are all the details you need to help you find it. https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/The_Aether

So if your having issues finding a lava charm, the first get a Magma Stone, dropped by a hellbat. Then find the Aether, and drop that stone into the Shimmer. Then you will have your Lava Charm.

At least one is guarantee.
To be honest, I think it's better for you to fish Obsidian/Hellstone crate, get the Magma thing and throw into Shimmer. You can lava fish by using a lava bait, those 3 you see roaming around hell. You can catch them by using the Golden Bug net (reward from Angler's quest) or using the one you craft with hellstone bar, I don't remember the name. Just make sure to drink all 3 fishing potions to see what you are getting.

At this point it's just blatant misinformation. If the recommendation is to use shimmer, you don't need to fish at all. The Obsidian crate was prior to shimmer the only consistent method of getting multiple lava charms, assuming your world got lucky enough to even spawn one naturally, which isn't guaranteed either. Every crate has a 5% chance of giving you the lava charm, but since crates get fished up so slowly it often takes hours to get just one of them.

It's not that bats are any easier to farm pre-hardmode mind you. Hellbats have a measly 0.67% drop rate on all difficulties, meaning that statistically one will drop about every 150 kills. However, they spawn frequently and are easy to farm. Additionally, Lava Bats in hardmode hell have a 2% drop chance, so it only takes about 50 kills to get a charm.

You are half right.

Yeah, I got confused, I'm gonna explain:

The items OP wants is the Lava Charm. Lava Charm comes from Hellstone Crate (Pre-Hardmode) and Obsidian Crate (Hardmode) with a 5% to get from both.

Another way to get is from Golden Chests that spawn in the layer right above the hell with the "cracked lava flowing" background, the world is generated in a way (it's in the code) that, at least, one item of all items in all chests are generated, this means there's at least 1 Lava Charm inside one of those chests (you are wrong here).

Another other way to get is by throwing the Magma Stone into Shimmer, Magma Stone is a drop from Hellbat (0.67%) and Lavabat (2%), even if low chance is easy to get because the game spawns a lot, A LOT of Hellbat all the time, you can increase the chance of Hellbat to spawn by placing a Water Candle from Dungeon (even if you didn't defeat Skeletron you have high chance to get one close to the entrance), also drinking a Battle Potion.

Instead of explaining your confusion, you instead just copy-paste my answer back at me? Good showing friend.

And you're free to think what you will, but even in 1.4.1 lava charms had a notorious problem with actually generating in chests because the lava cavern layer tends to only generate so few chests and the game didn't actually make sure it generated in any of them. Sky islands are one of the very few chest groups that have guaranteed odds for their loot to be present in the game world. I can't say if 1.4.4 actually fixed that, but there was a decent chance even in large worlds where you could generate a fresh world, pull up any tool that can give you the full map and chest contents in the entire world and not find a single lava charm.

And even then, a single chest in the entire game world is still tedious and annoying to find, especially without external tools to extract information out of your save file. In most cases it was less of a headache to just assume it doesn't exist in your world unless you happened to get a lucky find.

I didn't read your previous reply past the first line, and I also didn't read this reply past the first line. I don't care about you, I answered OP's question, that's the reason why I came to the thread, not to discuss your feelings or whatever.

Edit: By the way, the information about the item is right here:

This isn't something only you know about, everybody knows that, so everybody will give the exact same answer because it's the right one, step down this high horse of yours.

I already search for it but seems like no lava charm inside, I found some golden chest and 2 "deadman's chest treasure". I put the screenshot too just in case I search in wrong area.

Yes, those are the Gold Chests that can give you Lava Charm, they also can give you a bunch of other items, so isn't easy to find that way.
