Wandering merchant have not spawned in 10 days

Ever since I entered hardmode the wandering merchant doesn't spawn anymore. I have a settlement with like 20 people in it, I don't understand why.

Although the nurse is alone on my boss platforms and the witch doctor in the jungle. Can it cause the merchant to bug?

You made too much progress and are doing excellent... The game is showing it's indignation by not letting the wandering merchant spawn. I've had this happen to be before. Everything was going great, but no merchant, for days... This has happened to me 3 separate playthroughs... I don't think it has anything to do with the way you've built your rooms.

His spawns are RNG based. He'll spawn in when he wants to, you'll just have to wait.

Pre hardmode he was spawning almost every day.

I’ve had him spawn little to no times in certain playthroughs too. RNG.

I think that the more settlements you have spread out, the more likely he is to show up.

Also, I don't think he can arrive at a settlement if you are there. Or if you are fighting a boss etc.

He can still spawn in areas you're* at too, but it will be off screen like any other NPC.
