Terraria won't launch

I'm having a problem where I go to load Terraria and it just doesn't want to start.

It appears in my task manager when I go to run it, only for about 10 seconds before disappearing, it doesn't even show up in my taskbar so there's something preventing it from even opening. I don't even get an error message.

I've been digging around articles and threads, no resolution as of yet, it's all the same bs:

.Repair/re-install Microsoft.NET Framework
.Repair/re-install xnafx40
.Verify cache files
.Re-install Terraria
.Run as administrator
.Uninstalled AVG, which apparently interferes with Steam games, but that's now completely removed from my PC

Nothing seems to be working. It stopped working a few days ago and the only thing I've done on my computer in the past 2 weeks is download Uplay and The Division. I don't see how that can affect the way Terraria runs at all.

I'm on Windows 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Omfg I fixed it hahahaha. Such a long lasting problem and as soon as I post this discussion I find a solution xD

For anyone trying to fix this problem, try all the bs I listed above, if that still doesn't work make sure Terraria is running in compatibility mode for the right Windows -.-

- Go to your steamapps and into ur Terraria folder
- Right click on Terraria.exe
- Properties
- Compatibility tab
- There's a box that says compatibility mode, ensure this is on the right Windows and that the box is ticked

i tried checking the compatibility(im on windows 7) and when i try to choose the right version it only gives me windows XP service 3. There isnt even an option for windows 7. wtf is happening.

my terraria is broken af :/. First it says there was an error to relogic.dll and now it wont run of even come up in my task manager. Please someone help its been broken for ages ;-;

First thing I do, verify game cache. If that doesnt work, use google.

Thanks a 100 times, man. I really appreciate you putting up the solution. Interestingly, like some others have said, I changed my compatibility mode to Windows 8, when in reality I use Windows 10. And it now works.
