It is part of wearing full Stardust Armor. It is very useful and strong. Don't like it, just put the starudust armor piece into vanity for a bit.

You can't get rid of it. You're stuck with it. Just like anyone who has the beetle armor is stuck with all the stupid little bugs flying around you. At least the new armors are better than that, and beetle armor is no longer end game.

You only ever see the beetles when you hit something. If you aren't in combat, they don't bother you.

The beetles are always there until you use up their protection for a few seconds.

I think you can't really get rid of the guardian...You could just replace one of the less useful parts of the armor set with a lower tier of summoner armor maybe. Honestly he ain't that bad, just extra damage but I guess preferance is preferance :P

I would say replace the stardust helmet with a spooky helmet. It reduces dmg but I guess its your choice really :P

Oh yeah.
That's only for DEFENSIVE beetle though.
OFFENSIVE beetle only has the bugs when you hit something.

Why would you give up all the good stats?

I would still recommend to replace the helmet with a spooky one, it ain't that hard to get, you just need to complete the pumpkin moon and few of the mobs will drop the spooky wood needed to make it. Since you have stardust armory I assume you are geared enough to handle one.

And also I have to agree with artemis about losing the stats for looks. I mean....Not exactly a bad thing to have extra damage :P

I dunno about you, but the Stardust Guardian looks beautiful, especially with the right dyes. The bonus in minions and damage is so good, why would you ever give it up? Tiki and Spooky are nice, but in the endgame, they just can't stand up to Stardust armor. I like having many entities around me, including the Guardian, but that's just me.

The guardian does draw hostile attention away from you, which is a great thing for a summoner.
