Water suddenly appeared in my Underworld

If a lot of water has a chance to drain into hell while you're leaving the world, when you reenter the world and the liquids are settling, water will stay in hell until you disturb it. As soon as you mess with the water again, the water will evaporate as normal.

The only possibility would be a dent below a large waterbody in the caravan layer or above which passes on until hell( might not essentially be straight ). I can see from the minimap that water has flown into there from somewhere right above that place. If that place in hell is not overriden by hallow/corrupt/crimson ,the water should evaporate eventually( natural game mechanism ). Otherwise you will have to either use a sponge or make it pure underworld biome to remove that water.
