Report a translation problem
If you have them saved on the cloud then uninstall then they'll be fine, and
(as far as I'm aware this is how the cloud works anyways) will be accessible on every device you have your cloud synced to.
If they're NOT saved to the cloud, then you will lose them most of them time if you uninstall, you can save and backup your worlds and characters respectively through the locally stored files, which can be found here if you are running on windows 10 (presumably also 11):
Documents/My Games/Terraria,
Then worlds are stored in the "Worlds" folder and characters in the "Players" folder.
If you want to back them up I recommend just copying all the files you care about to another
backup folder. Worlds have 3 files, one main file and two backups, characters have 2 main files and a folder respectively, I recommend copying all files related to the world/character.
Then it's a simple matter of moving them back to their original places when you reinstall.
