Or 3 fish statues.
Likewise, you could attempt this as a pure melee, ranged, or mage class. Sticking strictly to bonuses fit for the specific class of your choice, and altering your strategy to make the most of your gear.
Ty I might do this after I finsh a few of my other challenges I setted......
Actually quite easy once you have a decent farm setup in the crimson.
@The Wombat from Hell
I don't think that is possible without some support...unless you got a server with like 10k players at once which is already beyond limits.
A challenge should probably be like attempting to play the game in a certain, unique way like ShadeDyastar's suggestion for pure class run.
Here's my suggestions for some interesting ways to play the game, some took from around the web and some I came up with at the moment:
-Drow Elf Challenge*1: Play the game until WoF is defeated, without ever going back above surface level (Although I personally think that,if you feel like it,you may go above surface level as long as you are not in direct sunlight,as the dungeon would else be inaccesible without defeating skeletron).
-Merfolk Challenge*2: Play the game until WoF is defeated, but you have to always wear the merfolk shell and a fishbowl so basically you must always be in water to stay alive :D.
-Vertigo*3: Play the game starting with a gravity globe, but the gravity must ALWAYS be upside down (that means you may want to be under some blocks first or underground to avoid instadeath as simply waltzing around the surface would no longer be possible, althou almost no resource is restricted.
-Barbarian/Smasher/Lumberjack/Miner/Drillerr: Play the game as pure melee, but your melee weapons must always be either just an axe/hammer/pickaxe or a mix of all of them.
-Necromancer: Play the game going for these specific goals:
1.Trying as fast as possible to breach the dungeon,ex. beat skeletron on the first night LIKE A BAWS
2.as 1st challenge is beaten, get and only wear necro armor and use weapons/acessories/spells that are evil,dark,bloody,corrupted,nightly-ish or any acessory/weapon/spell with Demonic/Menacing/Taboo in it.
3.DO NOT USE PWN HAMMER TO BREAK ALTARS,and instead get truffle the mushroom npc to get you the hammush(this is also a challenge of its own, although short.).
4.Get Spectre set(if you find the game too hard with necro armor, you may wear it as vanity and wear on you a magic set instead,so its sort of a half-pure mage run).
-Paladin: Opposing the above challenge, play the game only with holy/hallowed weapons/acessories/spells,while not using any of the necromancer's items unless they are modified Warding/Godly/Celestial.You must destroy the dungeon at some point though to make it interesting,or even more challenging! Replace dungeon furnitures at some point with either hallowed/floating island decorations and blocks.
-Guerilla: Only play with swords/shortswords that aren't as strong as your strongest rangerdweapon(that is not a consumable like throwing grenade),and only use magic associated with the jungle/jungle dungeon biomes.Any ranged weapon goes.
*1 you may go above the ground once WoF is beaten,or choose to stay for extra difficulty, although it will be hard if not well prepared. You may not bring anything underground except a miner's helm(easy),alot of torches(10~200,medium),or afew(one or 9,hard) or none(very hard, but either way you're likely to get a torch at some point,or break some of the cave's walls for abit of light,as its not as much direct. You might need to make your spawn underground and the NPC town underground as well.
*2 According to the original challenge, you can choose to take off the merfolk shell and fishbowl helm once you free the mage NPC,although you may personally choose to either lose it off as WoF is beaten or never. You can put the merfolk shell on with the fishbowl as soon as you're in a large body of water or in the ocean for the lolz XD
*3 This challenge is only possible with gravity globe,an unobtainable item which for this challenge you may take from any items map that has it.Also gravity potions are not allowed AT ALL.
No problem,I'm surprised myself that all of these suggestions went to one post actually XD.
