Question about the celestial pillars

So i didnt know that the cult was the lunar event trigger so i killed him and now i have the pillars around the world

The thing is, i know final boss will appear if i kill all the pillars.
I already killed 3/4 (died a lot in the proccess)

Can i keep the last one alive until im ready to beat the final boss? (like, can i go grind other bosses or farm mats for Ank shield/better armor etc?)

but the monsters will still spawn around the pillar

The pillars will stick around indefinitely (until you kill them, obviously), so you can ignore the last one until you’re ready.

You can do whatever you please during the pillars, you do not have to interact with them in any way. You can farm enemies in any biome anywhere anytime. You can even leave the game and rejoin with the pillar still active in the same position. As long as you do not kill it it will stay forever.
