Ive played with ranger before but i found it a bit to easy with the amounts of crits and the ability to stay out of combat and still dish out the damage
im not to sure about melee with getting close combat with boss's and tough enemy's

From duck to duck I would recommend playing as mage, it’s fairly balanced and is fun to play

literally meteorite armor and space gun combo can defeat all bosses pre hard mode but for wall of flesh I would recommend using demon scythe and jungle armor, or demon scythes and meteorite armor and just use all your mana with the scythe then switch to meteorite fun and wait for your mana to refill and just repeat that, this way you don’t have to use a mana flower as an accessory

Thanks for the tips
Definetly Mage. In my opinion it is way easier then ranger because of the huge damage output. And meteorite armor and space gun will carry you until hardmode.

Melee is the odd man out in pre-hardmode in expert because it is so hard to kill wof with only melee, even with a yoyo because the hunger respawn so it is hard to do a certain amount of damage in the amount of time you have, plus the fact it goes faster, However melee is also amazing in hardmode... so there is goods and bads. Ranger is probably well rounded in pre-hardmode with the bees knees and minishark then in hardmode you can kill the mech bosses with daedalus stormbow and get the mega shark and basically steam roll everything else. Mage is hard in the beginning if you don't get lucky with water bolt or meteors, but probably easiest for hardmode since you can fish for crystal serpent which is a good weapon, plus golden shower in crimson or cursed flames also help a lot too. Then there is summoner... Probably the hardest in pre-hardmode but easiest in hardmode, considering you have to kill queen bee or go to hell to get your first weapon or if you are lucky with slimes or statue. Spiders are easily one of the most amazing weapons you can use cause they latch on to bosses, so killing the destroyer, skeletron prime, and twins would be easy, all you need is to dodge. All i have to say is, for summoner, all you really need to do is dodge. So i can't exactly tell you which is the best because they all have downsides. Melee (Hardmode) Summoner (Hardmode) Range(well rounded) Mage (Fairly rounded) Mage and ranger are probably the easiest, but summoner in thought is.

You can't play a class that ends before it even begins.

Thrower works in pre-hardmode, start would be... Shurikens, throwing knives, stuff like that, you can get ninja armor from king slime, and then fossil armor. Bone glove from skeletron in expert mode, grenades... a lot of stuff, it is only really viable in pre-hardmode though, doesn't work in hard mode.

i didnt know there was limited weapons in hardmode
That Weird Kid Apr 15, 2019 @ 11:26am
Summoner (it might be hard to do that pre but in hardmode you def can do it)

i usually just do a hybrid build with melee, magic, and ranged
Flashbang Apr 15, 2019 @ 12:48pm
I used Melee. I did have to use Ranged for the Twins though. Everything else I got pretty easy with Melee. I remember Skeletron being difficult, but after I got enough movement, I got him
