Hermes boots not working

Yo guys I need some help. So I got myself a pair of Hermes boots however they're not giving the speed boost at all :c. What's even more weird is that it used to work because once I asked my friend to borrow me them and they worked for me just fine. Now when I attempt to even put his boots on I dont get a speed boost. I reconnected, took all of my equipment off and still nothing. Any idea on how to fix this?

You need to put it into the equipment slot and not the vanity slot...

I'm what famous prank youtubers call "funny" and use "social experiment" as what they call an "excuse" so I was just trying to get a laugh at my silly beginner mistake :3

The steam rules regarding piracy are extremely strict. Any mention is not allowed. Besides, family sharing is a thing.
Additionally, bumping a thread to call out reports is significantly more time wasting than a seemingly stupid question.

Maybe I just have a software which allows me to crop images. No need to insult :3 Plus Sir I know everything. I'm sharing games with a friend that's how I can play Terraria. Also why on earth are you making such a big deal from my resolved and noobish question. People make mistakes, and that was one of those mistakes I made.
