Is it possible to drop a crimson key in a crimson desert ?

I'm using the spore sac for afk farming in a crimson desert, which is a good area for mobs spawn and gathering. But I still have nothing, and it's been a long time.
Is it possible to drop the key in a desert ? or do I have to go in the crimson where there is grass etc ?

It can drop anywhere crimson. It's just that sometimes the random number generator makes it a pretty rare drop.

Yep. As long if you are in a biome. You can get the biome key (this is true as you can get a crimson key on a corruption world.)

Hybrid biomes still allow drops from all included biome types. You could for instance get both the Frozen and Crimson key from a Crimson/Snow biome. In some cases hybrid biomes are even required for certain enemies and or loot.
Just don't forget that you need to be in hardmode iirc. And that statue spawned enemies and Meteor heads won't drop biome loot.
