Can't find tundra trout?

I've fishing for about an ingame day now and used all of my master bait. I only have one snow biome in my world and at the top of it there is barely enough water for me to fish.

I keep getting trash and bass with a couple of atlantic cod here and there.

Am I in the wrong spot? Starting to gett frustrated here...

Bear in mind that quests change daily at 4:30 game time. The pool that you're fishing in has to be big, I'd suggest the pool to be 20x20 blocks big or something like that. It should take a few secs to get the quest fish.

If there isn't enough water near the surface will I have to bring my own via pumps/buckets?

Along with area (biome, height, etc) are the fish you can find also affected by the size of the water? Will there be fish I can't catch unless the water is big/small enough?

More water = bigger chance, tho the size of the water doesn't deny it, it increases the chances. It has to above 0 ground level. You might need to bring your own water or find a pool somewhere.

If it's too much struggle for you I can come and fill up the pool for you with endless water bucket which would take seconds probably.

Or you can just make a stack of buckets, and then you'll have them for whenever else you'll need them

If you have the bottomless water bucket that would help immensely. Also, make sure there are 3-5ish air blocks above the very surface of the water, as anything covered will not count as part of the pool.

I also cant catch this fish rn, I'm in hard mode and there's hollow everywhere. does the hollow effect it? because i'ts still snow biome music but the water is pink...
