Can you toggle the ruler feature of the grand design?
Or can you at least change it so it only shows the lines when you're holding it, not just when it's in your inventory? If anyone knows I would appreciate it.

when you open your inventory, the grand design's options are at the top left

The ruler feature is no longer tied to the grand design, as stated above, you will see the toggle options in the top left of your inventory.
