No it cannot SPREAD on corrupted or cirmsoned blocks.
Hallowed grass only can spread a bit on the crimson/corrupted one.
Only time a Hallow naturally can cut through Corruption or Crimson is after you kill Wall of Flesh.
The initial V shaped burst can cut through and leave a patch of Hallow in any evil biome if its in its way, but it cannot spread any further on already corrupted/crimsoned blocks.
Your screenshots show effects of that burst since the Hallow is in a form of a diagonal stripe.
Yea that's the part of the V shaped burst of Hallow/Evil after WoF is dead.
