Pre Hardmode Pigron Swarm

Okay, so for some reason a swarm of 3 or 4 pigrons attacked me when I was in the jungle pre-hardmode (I havent even killed the wall of flesh yet) and I have no idea how or why this happened. The jungle was close to a corruption biome but I havent killed the wall of flesh yet so I have no idea how this happened and want to see if this happened to anyone of if there was any explanations. Thanks

It just happened again in the same place and all the pigrons seem different colors 1 red 1 purple 1 pink. I instantly died sence this is a knew character and I dont have any strong items yet :/
If this happens again I will try to screenshot.

Alright It happened a third time in the same spot and I got several screen shots they all charge from the right side of the screen and kill me, Im going to check further with a character that has better gear.

Well, I found the solution, I dont know if I am lucky or unlucky for the world to generate like that with my new character :/

Now I feel so utterly stupid. 700 hours and I still didn't know statues could come wired like that by random generation.

World gen glitch... pretty odd one though. But it is as simple as the pigron statue spawning in the middle of a crab trap.
Edit: either that, or this is the best concieled prank ever in terraria.

Encountered this issue too, 3 years later

Yeah, I had an issue where there was a skeleton statue wired up in my jungle. And a skeleton was repeatedly jumping on the plate with nowhere to go. It was pretty scary for skeletons to suddenly rain down on me.

It literally just happened to me! Didn't even kill brain of chtulhu and was playing in master mode. Their hp was also greater than what the wiki told me.
What happened?

It just happened to me in hardcore master mode. The first encounter I was able to escape preemptively (survival instinct). But there was too much gold to be left here and a full mushroom biome (it was in cavern layer of a forest biome)... The second time, I instantly died.
