Can't find any Cobalt.

When i smashed the altars it only named 3 things that were gonna spawn in my world. none of those 3 were cobalt. when i kept smashing altars it just kept repeating those 3 things.

There is no cobalt on that world then. You got the alternate ore. Similar to copper can spawn as tin instead or gold as titianium. Be happy though. The alternate ores are slightly better.

if you didnt get cobalt then you have a VERY good ore! palladium will give you life regen if you hit a enemy
i killed all 3 mechanical bosses with palladium armor + deadalous stormbow

Because every world had different ores. You either have Cobalt/Palladium,Mythril/Orichalcum and Adamantite/Titanium. Its fine anyways, all ores are the same but different textures

There's six possible ores, two per tier; these are predetermined when your world generates. The first tier will be either Cobalt or Palladium and i assume you got palladium instead- don't worry! Palladium can also be used for pickaxes to progress to the tier above and wearing a full armor set gives you a strong regeneration buff when you strike opponents.

hey i just got into hardmode. in order to kill the mechanical bosses what armor should i get? Mythril?
