Problem with coral
Hi there dear Terrarians,
I have a problem and maybe one of you can help me out.
If I redesign one of the oceans I usually drain all the water in the process but if I refill the area again, no coral will grow back. The conditions are always met like in the wiki, and as you can see I have a bit of playtime on this game (and so a bit of experience) ;-) But I couldn't find any solution for this in all the years still.
I'll try to attach a pic.

Thank in advance for your help and suggestions.

The bricks and wood platforms are just for your measurement.

How much would you suggest? The wiki says at least 5 block (I have 8) of water and one single layer of sand, so I thought I could use the conveyors to make easy ground farming.

I believe conveyors dont work for that your trying todo. However hoik might.
Coral needs to be on a pure sand bed (Only saying this becouse it never grew otherwise) such as the ocean floor. maybe try 5 layers? For the water make it about 10+ blocks.

You will have to play around with it.

Not everyone wants to register for another website they'll never use, especially when this isn't a specific question for the devs.

Its not that thats the problem its trying to it to spawn. The problem should be fixed now.
Well, just tryed out to actuated sand under a coral on the other ocean and it seems that they don't break at all, like jungle bushes, so that farm wouldn't work at all.
The problem is still the lifeless ground, it bothers me. Please be aware that I have tryed many combinations already in the past (different sand high, different water hight).

I have a account on the forum but well, I'm not that forum guy, just postetd one thing I think xD. Think I still try it there.

I know. I'm asking if it you could put the conveyor belts below the required sand, then actuate the sand when its time to harvest.
