Stopping corruption with Pearlstone
My friend told me that if I wanted to stop worrying about the corruption spreading, I should make a pearlstone brick wall. I was wondering if it would work, I've looked around and haven't found a definitive answer. I heard that you could use bricks, but it didn't say if it was pearlstone or not. Also if I do build a wall, or a trench, it needs to be at least 3 block wide I think. At this moment almost any ideas are welcome, as long as it doesn't include the Clemtaminator.

have you seen how ores stop spreading of corruption through the grass??? dose it work with stone??
What stage of game are you in? Pearlstone isnt available until after the wall of flesh is beaten.
Additionaly it does not need to be pearlstone bricks.
Any crafted brick isnt corruptable, and some materials in their raw state are safe to use like Snow, Silt, Ash, Clay.

I typically dig a trench around my corruption/crimson sections to keep it from spreading. On the surface layer I lay non-corruptible bricks along the side to prevent corrupt grass from growing, creating its spikes and jumping the gap. Also on the surface area I extend a wall up to keep the same problem at bay, as well as keeping enemies from wandering over into a different biome. Later these spots become good forts as you can farm two biomes at the same time.

Early game your ability to remove corruption comes from digging/bombing out, or using purification powder bought from the dryad but has a small radius it can purify.
If it is raw pearlstone, it will spread hallow across pure stone and grass. Same goes for ebonstone, but with its respective biome. However, I asume it is a different story when these matterials are proccessed. Anyone can confirm or say otherwise?
I hate to break it to you, but if youve ever seen a map from tedit's view (easiest solution btw) corruption and hallow spawn at an angle from surface all the way to hell once you beat the wof. Whats more, theres nothing stopping small pockets of either spawning in random places when certain things happen. In my experience a naturally spawning destroyer can cause it and a buddy of mine said destroying altars can spawn them too but i havent tested... there used to be a thing a long time ago where sunflowers actually stopped corruption but thats been, what? Before crimson was implemented? Anyways, you can easily convert all corruption to normal via tedit. Legitimately though, even if you dug a helevator on either side of you, corruption could still spawn in between. Clentaminator is the quickest albeit most expensive way to deal with it.

Yes, ebon/pearlstone bricks wont spread their biomes, the dont even count toward their biome like how too many temple blocks change the area to jungle.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation.
