"Development startet in January 2011"
http://terraria.wikia.com/wiki/Version_History
"1.0.0 on May 16, 2011"
So the two options are:
1. Developed to 1.0.0 in 5 months
2. Developed over 3 Years to 1.0.0
Possible solution:
1. compare the time 1.0.0 probably took to develop
2. look up the developers (how many)
3. question: could the developers develop the game to 1.0.0 in 5 months or not?
4. answer = was it developed since 2011?
As there are no sources for since 2008 it is more likely to be 2011.
Alright, thx for the proof that is likely, in 2011
excuse me, what?
"fans" of terraria salty over minecraft beginning development first.
if terraria did not exist in 2009, how were there "fans" and how were they getting "salty"?
Just for fun I can clearly remember playing this game in 2008-9 on a version lower than 1.0.0 (i think it was 0.3.6 orso)
Re-Logic didn't exist until 2011, and the first pre-alpha leaked was early 2011
Here you have a video of what this version ~looked like.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDQXj0PoVSQ 5:15 starts.
I think i played versions below 1.0 but i am not sure. It was definitely a playable version with the bosses.
btw. nice necro
Doesn't make any sense.
