METEORITE BUG?

I destroyed some purple balls in corruption and i recieved messege: ''The meteorite has landed''.
I searched the entire surface of the world, but i didnt found it. Can you please help me? I need meteorite set :/

yea the islands it may land there
it sucks because normaly the chest there gets destroyed :/
but it may also have landed in 1 of the corrupted holes

I found it in last corrupt hole... after 1 hour..... Never lucky...

Sometimes the meteorite can land in holes floating islands or the ocean you have to look everywhere

It's near impossible for it to land on an island with a chest because of it's spawning patters making it spawn away from chests, check the wiki for proof

Your right. If I am not mistaken you can purposely place chests near areas you want to be meteor free. But I don't know the exact distance a given chest protects.
