White Screen! HELP!

My graphics drivers are fully updated and im using windows 8 but when i startup terraria, it just shows a white screen but with its music and thats it. I dont know what todo, i tried verifying game cache and removing local files and reinstalling.

that happens to me just wait it might say terraria is not reaponding just close that and wait then it should load if not ur screwed

Click the fullscreen button and if it doesn't work click it again. Easy, I don't know why people are this stupid that's all you have to do.

Ok the fullscreen thing works but i wanna keep it as a big screen

found out the problem!!! When its white press the button that turns it into a small screen then go in video and make it fullscreen. Thnx for the help Jake!! :D

This may be a bit late, but I found a solution to anyone having an issue. The cause of the white screen is that the resolution is too small to go fullscreen. What you need to do to fix it is make it small screen and change the resolution the resolution of your monitor (probably 1920x1080). Once that is done, you should easily be able to go fullscreen.

this white screen thing started after a recent graphics update from nvidia in my case.
wish i had found the restore and fullscreen trick before i formatted my hd and reinstalled the OS to fix the issue. I also did not update the graphics driver as i dont feel that it is compatible with terraria yet.

Upgrade to windows Xp.

Long story short is, these days there are a lot more people using computers than there are people who know the first thing about them (which also explains why Windows 10 is so popular).

when i open terraria the screen is just white, even though I'm not on fullscreen mode someone please help as it means i can't play...
