Can't set spawn

I'm on a multiplayer game with my friend and we've set up multiple houses, while he can set his spawn point at any of the beds I can't, any suggestions?

Well, the beds have to be in npc available houses, or in a house that can hold an npc.
you two are able to set your spawn at the same place, though.

We have the proper houses with walls and everything, the problem is he can use a bed and set his spawn while I'm unable to.

Very odd. Maybe you should dedicate a house just for the bed, and then use it. It might work. If that doesn't work, then that's a bug.
