Anyone know any decent ways to farm demons for the demon scythe?

Well the thing i did when i wanted one was make a bok with honey in it then added a place for them to come. Then i made a hole for a good yoyo i had and killed them for about an hour untill i got it. Also i had a slime staff to help me out :)

you can try blue candles and battle potions to increase the spawn rate, blue candles/water candles are in the dungeon

I don't think there are any effective strategies before getting a machanic(Bad Spelling) so if your trying to get it early on in pre-hardmode I suggest using a slime staff while hiding behind a wall........Or be like me and have a slime staff but doesn't have the patience and ends up dying about 20 times trying to fight them head on.

I don't think it'll kill Skeletron in time...

He means if you don't have the mechanic, use the slime staff on the demons while hiding behind the wall.
