Also, no I am not going against you by saying that, I really do like the idea.
That is the only point i was trying to get him to see. Just like in Factorio, you do not have to use it if you don't want to. But once you have a design that you like, and want to reuse, it's easy to do so.
Myself, I like to set up a Home Base. I usally do so in a small world. Since they load much more quickly for jumping in and out of. Also, I don't usually push my Home Base to Hard Mode. I'll do everything except that. For Hard Mode, I make new worlds and use them for exploration/mining and Hard Mode item gathering. I'll bet most people do it that way, in order to keep their main 'Home' safe.
But doing so means that when you make a new world, your going to have to build a new home there as well. Which means getting everything 'just right' for the NPC's to move in. That, to me, becomes tedious after 50 or 60 times...
Even with a Blueprint system in game I'd still occasionally make a new Home. It's just when I'm going to a new world for a possible Hard Mode setup that I don't want to waste all the time required to get a decent sactuary ready. Once is enough.
