Clearing up controversy
The Zoologist is a *biological girl* who got bitten by a strange fox and now she's a werefox.

Your answer is: No, she's not trans.

I thought werewolves could be girls as well? but the werefox is a cute little name I like it. But for real how did people even come up with the theory that she was trans???

Some reactionaries edited a made-up tweet by the devs saying she was trans to "own the libs", once people found out it was fake it backfired and they looked like idiots for even trying.

This but I just want them to admit that shes furry.

Its like those guys that are obsessed with catgirl ears but don't wanna admit they're furry. Like like what you like dude but why you gotta deny it?

Zoologist NPC is not a Furry. We get people saying she is a Furry just because she wears a fox hood but either they aren't looking close enough (she is clearly human - atleast during the day) or they don't fully understand what a Furry is. This is another case of people on Steam pulling words out of their butts only because it feels appropriate to them.

Animal features *or* fur /= Furry.

If anyone still thinks the NPC is a Furry, ask them to tell you what a Furry actually is and I can pretty much guarantee they'll get it wrong.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom

^^^ And anyone who reads *that* and still calls the Zoologist a "Furry" is obviously trolling, to send the message that "I can be as stupid as I want! Yay freedom on the internet!" In which case I have no time or hope for them.

I guess we now can say we know what the fox says. :steammocking:

So because it meant a certain thing in the 70-80s it cannot mean something else today? If you want to put catears on your GF then you are a furry. If you like to cosplay as an animal you are a furry. Its no longer purely sexual or a fetish. Human with animal features means furry now. Words change. Did you know "Boomer" refers to baby boomers born during the 70s? Nope, it means "old person" and "behind the times", why? Cuz kids said it does and now whatever source disagrees with that is wrong and will be eventually changed to reflect what the word really means.

Edit: Also theres nothing wrong with being furry, liking catears or wanting to cosplay as an animal.

Furry confirmed

The people who take this absolutely seriously and genuinely care are 100x worse than what they're throwing a fit about.

Imagine thinking someone who was bit by a Were-Fox is somehow a Furry.
LOL wut. That's the same level of logic as saying the Moon Lord is a Pizza. Does he even look like a pizza?

The Zoologist was bit and turned into a WereFox. THat's literally her entire lore.
Furries do not have any kind of physical animal features. PEriod. Having animal features instantly disqualifies someone from being a Furry.

Also, go home, you're drunk, Halfshell cat, because Furries did not exist in the 70s.
Boomer has always been short for Baby Boomers, which were a group of people born from 1945 to 1960.
This is literally how the word works.
IT cannot be changed just because random silly kids on the internet think everyone over the age of 30 is a boomer. :P

The new fad of random words being used to describe people is getting silly and should stop, or I shall start calling people Wingdings. :P

Or, more rather, you're saying people can change the definition of a word whenever they want no matter how little they knew about it. So there is a plus for being uneducated. Yeah, that males sense.[/sarcasm]

That basically gives me permission to call any other NPC whatever I want to. I'm surprised no one has called the Arms Dealer a criminal due to the differing laws on selling firearms from country to country.

"Boomer" comes from "Baby Boomer," referring to people born after the second world war because there was a population boom. All those solders coming home and having kids within the span of a few years. See? You're already showing you don't bother looking anything up before you use it. What you are referring to - up to 1982 - is Generation X. After 1982 it was the Milleniel Generation because they graduated from highschool in 2000.

There is a line between subtly loosening the stricter definition of a word and being uneducated. The latter *can* have negative repercussions for those the word is aimed at and eventually gets corrected, anyway.
