Meteorite does not fall.

After the release of 1.4, for some reason, the meteorite does not fall, although I broke 5 spheres. Maybe now the chat does not show a notification that a meteorite has fallen.
Perhaps now something else needs to be done. Or I'm just very unlucky):

In master mode the boss has to be killed as well.

It doesn't drop because you haven't killed Worm/Brain.

You need to kill the boss for meteor to fall.

If you cant progress past the EoW or BoC using gear obtained prior to them... you just aren't playing well enough. They are easy bosses to battle even at the start of the game. Even then all they did was balance the spawning better to just force you to kill them first. Meteors still spawn at 50% chance for the first one after a boss kill. All they did was remove the heart/orb activation.

What ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear? All i can get is garbage like mini shark and bows. Still havent even found hermes boots.

At this point i give up I will just rush hell and continue suicide attacking until I get lucky and get the demon scyth because thats apparently the only reliable way to get gear that isnt trash now.

I mean, if you can get it it isn't an awful idea, that's usually what I do considering demon scythe can take you into mid-late hardmode depending on world difficulty.

Have you tried the gem staves? Ruby and diamond ones are not so different than the space gun, when it comes to bosses. They used to double hit same targets unlike the space gun, unless they changed thay

just kill eye and get the tendon bow then farm jesters arrows. use them to kill the creepers from the brain, they give tissue samples. use the samples with the crimtane bars you got from the eye to make the deathbringer pick then mine hell stone. there. thats how i did it
