Clearly not the case when you reduce resolution, quality, etc and it still doesn't work. Besides, its a 2d game. The devs eff'd up.

I'm having issues with the frame rate as well, even though the fps counter is constantly reading above 120. I'm also getting flickering on highlighted items and cursor icons.

your fps should be locked at 60 otherwise the ingame animations will be messed up

Give it a few minutes. Seems establishing world details on large worlds takes a good while to be finished even after the loading screen.

Changing to Retro Lighting in video settings made things much better for me, although retro lighting kinda sucks to look at

Sick of seeing morons talking ♥♥♥♥ as usual about stuff they don't understand ,stick to console if you can't use game settings nobody ef'd up except your fake news comment. Frame skip is in the settings and slow down was always an issue but i don't remember exactly what causes it.

Edit: Actually it could have even been multi core lighting that made the slow down but whatever it is its always been there.
